The Uniqka Outdoor collection has favored the quality of “Indonesian kubu”, which is a vine coming from the banana tree.
Its Outdoor collection offers you a wide choice of high-end rattan. You will be won over by its lines.
We can thus guarantee you elegant and comfortable furniture which will retain its original appearance and color over the years. “Kubu” rattan is renowned for its aesthetics,
its solidity and ease of maintenance.
Kubu rattan is a natural material that is very easy to maintain. A simple vacuum cleaner and a dry dust cloth are enough to remove dust.
For simple cleaning, use hot water with a little Marseille soap. Scrub the furniture, rinse with lukewarm water and let air dry.
If your rattan furniture is varnished, the process will be different.
Use lukewarm soapy water (Marseille soap or St Marc laundry detergent) to which you have added a few drops of ammonia. Diluted ammonia can remove mold stains from an old rattan chair.
Rinse with lukewarm water and let air dry.
For “green” cleaning, you can add baking soda or soda crystals to lukewarm water.
Soda crystals, which are more corrosive than baking soda, help clean and disinfect more effectively.
For the equivalent of a liter of lukewarm water, add four tablespoons of baking soda or soda crystals.
Clean using a sponge or microfiber cloth and allow to air dry.
Please note, rattan furniture should never dry in direct sunlight. Rattan furniture should never dry in direct sunlight.
Finally, in both cases of natural and varnished rattan, once your furniture is completely dry, you can rub it with a cloth soaked in linseed oil and polish with a soft cloth to complete this major cleaning. .
